43. The Astronaut

James was an astronaut. He always dreamed of going to space. One day, his dream came true. He got to fly on a rocket to the moon.

Before the trip, James trained for many months. He learned how to live in space and wear a space suit. He practiced walking in a room that had no gravity, just like in space. It was hard, but James didn’t give up.

Finally, the day came. James put on his space suit and got into the rocket. He was excited but also a little nervous. The rocket took off, and soon, James was in space. He looked out the window and saw the Earth far below. It was small and blue.

When the rocket landed on the moon, James stepped out. He felt light and could jump very high. He looked around and saw nothing but gray dust and rocks. James smiled. He was on the moon! He planted a flag and took some pictures.

After a few hours, it was time to go back to Earth. James was proud. He had done something amazing. He couldn’t wait to tell everyone about his trip to the moon.
