In a faraway land, there is a king named Shahryar. He is angry and sad because his wife betrayed him. The king does not trust anyone anymore. Every day, he marries a new wife, and every morning, he kills her.
One day, a brave woman named Scheherazade comes to the king. She has a plan. She will tell him stories to stop him from killing more people. "I will marry the king," she says.
That night, Scheherazade tells the king a story. The story is full of adventure and mystery. The king listens carefully. But when the story is about to end, Scheherazade stops. "I will finish the story tomorrow," she says.
The king wants to hear the end, so he does not send her away. The next night, Scheherazade finishes the story, but then she starts a new one. Again, she stops in the middle. The king waits to hear more.
This goes on for many nights. Every night, Scheherazade tells a new story. She tells stories of brave heroes, clever thieves, and magical creatures. The king listens to her every word.
As time passes, the king starts to change. He forgets his anger and sadness. He begins to trust people again. He does not want to kill Scheherazade. He loves her stories, and he sees that she is wise and kind.
After 1,001 nights, Scheherazade finishes her last story. The king has changed completely. He decides to keep Scheherazade as his queen forever.
